Towards the close of the 18th century, Johan Caspar Buehler brought, after his wondering years in France, the art of the artistic brush making into its homeland Koenigshofen at Bechhofen. In 1810 the first brush workshops were developed in Bechhofen and since then this handicraft has developed to its full extent. Habico ranks even among the oldest and biggest companies of the industry and therefore is highly endeavored to pass the art of the artistic brush making on to later generations.
Consequently, it is not a coincidence that many of the company's apprentices are honored, after termination of their associating check, with the highest honors on land and federal level.
